You do not need to struggle alone. We can assist.

Make a plan to stop smoking today with the help of "The Great American Smokeout"

On a white background, a cigarette is stubbed out into a mound of ash.

One of the most difficult things you can do is stop using tobacco.

It's also not something that can be broken in a single day, like many habits. It takes time. It requires planning and time.

Even if it takes you a few attempts to stop smoking, having a plan can increase your success.

Perhaps you've already tried, but did you know there's a phone app that can help you develop a plan and cope with cravings?

Or did you know that all it takes is a phone call to a quit coach to receive free one-on-one counselling?

The American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout® is held on November 17 and encourages people to start the process of quitting smoking and living a smoke-free life.

Are you prepared to start?

You can create a quit plan right away by taking the online questionnaire at smokefree.gov, which is free, simple, and quick to use in the 2Morrow Health app.

The test will assist you in:

  • Decide when to stop
  • Determine how much money you may save by stopping

  • Explain your motivation for stopping

  • Learn what causes you to smoke.
  • Obtain tools for success

Did you realise?

If you allow your body the chance to heal, it is strong and capable.

What occurs after your final cigarette is as follows:

  • Your pulse rate and blood pressure will decrease in 20 minutes.
  • Your blood's carbon monoxide levels return to normal within a few days.
  • Within three months, your lungs start to operate better and your circulation gets better.
  • Your risk of coronary heart disease is cut in half between 3-6 years.
  • Your additional risk of lung cancer decreases by 50% between the ages of 10-15.
